Overview
The Habit Tracker helps you build and keep recurring routines. You define what you want to do and how often — the Today view shows what's up each day, while streaks and reviews show how consistent you really are.
Creating Habits
Create habits from a template or from scratch:
Give each habit a name, description, icon, and color
Templates are grouped by direction — build a routine or reduce something — and pre-fill goal and rhythm
Set a start date and an optional end date
Organize habits with shared tags
Rhythm & Frequency
Choose how often the habit is scheduled:
Daily - The habit is scheduled every single day
Specific weekdays - Only on the days you pick, e.g. Monday, Wednesday, Friday
X times per week - A flexible weekly target — you decide which days
X times per month - A flexible monthly target for less frequent routines
Goals & Units
Habits go beyond simple checking off:
Minimum goals - Reach at least a target, e.g. read 30 minutes per day
Maximum goals - Stay under a limit, e.g. at most 3 coffees per day
Target period - Targets count per day, per week, or per month
Successful days - In successful-days mode, weekly and monthly goals count days instead of totals: a day counts once its daily minimum is reached — overshooting doesn't count twice
Units - Track counts, durations, or define your own custom unit
Logging Progress
Log progress the way that suits each habit:
Check off scheduled habits directly in the Today view
Avoid habits count clean days automatically — you only log violations
Count habits support a stepper, quick amounts, or direct number input
Attach notes to individual entries
Log entries for past days if you forgot to track
Project Integration
Link a habit to your work projects and progress fills in automatically:
Tracked time on the project counts toward duration habits
Completed work sessions count as habit entries
Automatic progress is read-only and shows which project it came from
Streaks & Reviews
See at a glance how consistently you stick with your habits:
Streaks - Current and best streak for every habit. Streaks run over periods: a period that misses its goal breaks the streak — reach goals only once the period is over, avoid goals as soon as the limit is exceeded
Success rate - Your success rate across the last 30 days
Consistency heatmap - The overview shows your consistency at a glance
Review - A per-habit history with periods, missed days, and progress
Library & Organization
Keep the overview even with many habits:
Search and filter your habits by tags and status
Sort manually or by title, streak, or recent activity
The weekly list in the sidebar shows your habits across the week
Archive habits you pause — their history is preserved
Tips & Best Practices
Start with one or two habits instead of ten at once
Set realistic targets — you can always raise them later
Use maximum goals to limit things, not just to build new routines
Link habits to projects so tracked work counts automatically
Check the review regularly and adjust the rhythm when a habit keeps failing
